Wetzlar/Frankfurt – At ISH Energy in Frankfurt, the world’s leading trade fair for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology, Bosch Thermotechnology presents its new online portal on energy efficiency upgrades www.effizienzhaus-online.de. At its heart is the first cross-disciplinary building configurator powered by a vendor-neutral calculation engine developed by the Fraunhofer-Institute. This allows owners to plan home improvement projects from the heating system to the roof. Registered experts such as heating contractors, energy consultants and architects can win contracts by submitting quotes based on plans posted by home owners.

The idea behind it: Energy efficiency upgrades remain a highly complex issue for end users which is difficult to fully comprehend in terms of costs, potential energy savings and government subsidies. www.effizienzhaus-online.de offers home owners clearly structured and customised comprehensive information for their concrete project.

The configurator allows owners to enter relevant data of their building with just a few clicks and obtain direct online proposals for energy efficiency measures. The concrete upgrade proposal takes the roof, the walls, the windows as well as the heating system of the building into account. Based on the proposed measures, owners can post an online request for quotations at the www.effizienzhaus-online.de platform or directly contact local experts. If desired, the portal sends the entered user data to the selected businesses at a click of the mouse to facilitate the work of both parties: At the first meeting with the prospect, contractors are already familiar with the basic data of the building and the customer’s home improvement plans.

Certified Trade Partners are featured at the top of the list of service providers and get a training course which familiarises them with the basic cross-disciplinary approach to energy-efficient buildings and building upgrades. End users can thus obtain online advice and find qualified trade experts.
