press release

Bosch is now offering in addition to the GML 10,8 V-LI Professional another jobsite radio that fits in the L-Boxx: the GML SoundBoxx Professional. This jobsite radio can be operated with all standard 14.4 and 18 volt professional batteries from Bosch with capacities of 1.3 Ah to 4.0 Ah. Two high-quality five-watt speakers deliver rich sound, while 20 volume levels and an equalizer function for bass and treble control ensure optimum sound quality on the jobsite. It is also possible to store five AM and five FM stations, and to connect external devices such as MP3 players via an Aux-In port. So professional tradespeople can also listen to their favorite music on the jobsite ? for up to several working days at mid-range volume on a full battery. Alternatively, the GML SoundBoxx Professional can be connected to the mains (230/110 volts) using the supplied adapter.

Easy transport in the L-Boxx
The GML SoundBoxx Professional is designed for transport and storage in the L-Boxx: it fits in precisely one half of the L-Boxx 136. Professionals can store another 14.4 or 18 volt tool in the other half, such as the GSR 14,4 V-LI Professional cordless drill/driver or the GSR 18 V-LI Professional.

The GML SoundBoxx Professional is very light: the 18 volt version weighs less than two kilograms (including a 4.0 Ah battery) and can be effortlessly transported from one workplace to another. Its robust housing and handles protect the display and controls against dirt and damage. If you do not want to leave the device lying around in the room, you can fix it to suitable construction surfaces or walls using the handles or the purpose-designed apertures on the back. The controls on the front of the radio are dust-protected and easy to operate. The digital display shows the time and frequency, and also the charging state of the battery.

The GML SoundBoxx Professional jobsite radio will be available at specialist retail outlets from May 2013 onwards in three versions:

  • in a carton with mains adapter, Aux-In cable and two AA batteries for the display at the recommended retail price of 99 euros,
  • in the L-Boxx 136 in a set with the GSR 14,4 V-LI Professional cordless drill/driver for 389 euros,
  • in the L-Boxx 136 in a set with the GSR 18 V-LI Professional cordless drill/driver for 439 euros.
Both L-Boxx sets contain the same scope of delivery as the carton version plus two 4.0 Ah batteries and a quick charger. All prices are excluding VAT.
