press release

Bosch is adding another component to the tried-and-tested L-Boxx system for transporting and storing power tools: the I-Boxx Rack. It is a clickable, shelf-like fixture for drawers or I-Boxxes (set cases available in the range), that can be integrated to extend customised configurations in a virtually unlimited number of ways. I-Boxx Racks can be clicked together with each other and also with standard L-Boxxes and LS-Boxxes. Such possibilities for new combinations are sure to benefit professional tradespeople when working at the jobsite: each individual can combine the necessary tool, material and accessories in a way that suits him, with much more flexibility than ever before. Since launching it onto the market, Bosch has sold more than 2.4 million L-Boxx systems and has continually enhanced its usage potential. In addition to the standard L-Boxx, there is now the LS-Boxx version with slide compartments, dividable set cases and Insetboxxes in which small objects such as screws, fixings, washers or other components can be stored in an efficient, well organized way.

The new I-Boxx Rack is available in two versions: with and without a coupling lever. The version with a coupling lever can be released at any time after being clicked together, while the version without a coupling lever is especially suitable for building a closed rack block consisting of several racks. If you choose to have a rack with a coupling lever right at the bottom, you can flexibly and effortlessly connect the entire block to the rest of the system like an L- and LS-Boxx. Other I-Boxx components are the LS-T 72 drawer with a height of 72 millimeters, which is inserted into the rack, and a lid with a carrying handle. It is designed to bear loads of up to 100 kilograms and enables professional tradespeople to easily and conveniently transport any rack blocks they have made.

Safe and easy transport
As with the L-Boxx, the I-Boxx Racks fit the German TÜV-tested in-vehicle equipment system from Sortimo without the need for an adapter. Moreover, the L-Boxx roller or the L-Boxx caddy can be used to conveniently transport clicked-together racks to the work location on the jobsite and back again. The LS-T 72 drawer and the already available I-Boxxes cannot fall out of the rack during transport because they are locked into guide rails.

Bosch mobility concept
Bosch offers professionals a comprehensive mobility concept under the motto “Intelligent solutions for storage and transport”. It is designed to enable them to work quickly and efficiently when they are on the move. In addition to the L-Boxx system for portable electric power tools, the mobility concept also includes saw stands for benchtop tools, such as miter saws, and carrying bags for components such as guide rails.

The I-Boxx Rack will be available at specialist retail outlets from May 2013 onwards:
  • with a coupling lever at a recommended retail price of 25.21 euros,
  • without a coupling lever for 21.85 euros.
Related components:
  • LS-T 72 drawer for 10.50 euros,
  • Lid for the I-Boxx Rack for 28.57 euros.
Set:
  • 3-piece block consisting of a lid, two I-Boxx Racks without a coupling lever and an I-Boxx Rack with a coupling lever for 83.61 euros.
All prices are excluding VAT.

I-Boxxes that can be inserted into the rack are already available in the Bosch range.
