press release

From September 2013, Dremel will be offering a rotating multitool with tool-free accessory changes: the Dremel 4200 is the first tool to enable the accessory to be fitted without a wrench or other tools. This is made possible by the “EZ Change” keyless system. “EZ” stands for “Easy”: if you simultaneously pull back the two blue levers positioned on the right and left at the front of the tool, the accessory can be immediately removed and replaced by another. If you let go of the levers again, the accessory is securely fixed and the tool is ready to use. This enables you to switch from one application to another in seconds, regardless of whether you want to cut, grind, polish, rout or engrave. This makes working with the multitool even easier and more convenient.

Powerful tool with electronic feedback
The Dremel 4200 is equipped with a 175 watt high-performance motor. Its electronic feedback ensures an automatic power boost under load. The tool therefore delivers the required power at all times, even when performing demanding tasks such as cutting metal profiles or tiles. The speed can be continuously adjusted from 5,000 to 35,000 revolutions per minute using a precision control to adapt it to the material you are working on. The low weight of about 570 grams, softgrip coverings on the grip areas and the tool’s balanced weight ensure a high level of comfort during use. Replaceable carbon brushes and a fold-out hanger complete the tool’s features.

Comprehensive range of accessories
Dremel offers a comprehensive range of accessories for its multitools. Accessories are available for carving, engraving, routing, cutting, grinding and polishing, also including “EZ SpeedClic” accessories which can be fitted to the matching SC402 mandrel without the need for a wrench due to the mandrel’s unique design.

The Dremel 4200 will be available at retail outlets from September 2013 onwards. It is supplied in a carrying case including shaping platform, line and circle cutter, multi-purpose routing and protective guard attachment, 75 accessories including different grinding and cutting wheels, sanding bands, and “EZ Speed Clic” mandrel and accessories. The recommended retail price is 159.99 euros including VAT.
