If you want to quickly and easily remove old paint and rust from surfaces and then give these surfaces a new look, you can use the Tornado from Skil in the future. The Tornado works with different exchangeable accessories – a gray sanding fleece for removing paint and rust from surfaces, a velcro pad with sanding paper for sanding surfaces, and a lambswool bonnet for polishing surfaces – and therefore covers three different applications. As a result, do-it-yourselfers no longer have to switch from one tool to another to complete these tasks. All they have to do is change from one accessory to another.

Application-specific exchangeable accessories
With the sanding fleece fitted to it, the Tornado reliably removes old paint from different materials such as wood, metals, concrete and masonry, and also removes rust. When doing so, the 550 watt powerful motor delivers a speed of 2,600 rates per minute to ensure faster work results. If you want to sand or polish surfaces, the sanding fleece can be detached from the tool and replaced by the velcro pad conveniently and in only a few moves thanks to the spindle lock. Both sanding paper and a lambswool bonnet for polishing can then be fixed to this pad.

The tool resembles a classical sander, but it has a raised grip for comfortably and controlled handling. One hand can be positioned below the provided hand strap, while additional control is given by folding down the side handle. The result is an easy two-hand operation. The tool’s features are completed by an integrated vacuum cleaner adapter.

The Tornado will be available from January 2014 onwards at the recommended retail price of 79.99 euros including VAT. It is supplied in a canvas carrying bag including sanding fleece, velcro pad, one sheet of sanding paper with a grit 240, a lambswool bonnet and an accessory key.
