press release

The Dremel 8100 is an excellent choice for users looking for the flexibility to perform many different tasks with a single tool. The cordless multitool replaces the predecessor model, the Dremel 8000, and is now even more convenient and easier to use thanks to Soft Grip handles and a new design offering excellent balance. This allows the Dremel 8100 to be held securely and comfortably during all types of work - from grinding/sanding, polishing, milling and cutting to engraving. Its ultra-light weight of only 415 grams also offers added comfort. Other features include a new safety stop: to guard against overload, e.g. if too much pressure is applied to the attached accessory, the Dremel 8100 does not shut off completely, rather it only stops rotating. The tool restarts as soon as the pressure is reduced. This eliminates the previously tedious process of switching the tool off and on again before it can be used again.

“EZ Twist” nose cap for faster and easier accessory changing
Accessory changing is now faster and easier thanks to the improved “EZ Twist” tool mounting system which comprises a nose cap with a built-in wrench. With EZ Twist, accessories can be changed in just three easy steps: undo the clamping nut with the nose cap, fit the accessory and tighten the clamping nut with the nose cap. That's all there is to it – the tool is now ready for use. This saves time and eliminates the need for a conventional wrench. The tool set includes 15 accessories. Further accessories are available from the Dremel range.

The Dremel 8100 is powered by a removable 7.2 volt lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.3 Ah. The high-performance battery charger is fully recharged and ready for use within an hour. Another advantage of the tool is the precision control which allows speed to be adjusted from 5,000 to 30,000 rpm to suit the material. A mounted handle simplifies work which needs high levels of precision.

The Dremel 8100 is now available in stores. It comes supplied in a zipper bag including battery, one-hour charger, precision handle and 15 accessories, including various grinding belts, cutting discs and a drill bit. The recommended retail price is 99.99 euros including VAT.
