press release

Workshop reception concepts that actively involve the customer in a short diagnosis of his vehicle increase customer satisfaction and thus also the volume of orders and the workshop's profit. Therefore the vehicle diagnosis has to be carried out in a quick and precise manner. With a new system for a preventive wheel alignment within only seconds and a tester for simultaneous function and performance tests of the brake system Beissbarth offers a customer-oriented reception concept for any type of workshop from authorized and independent workshops to tire service centers, fast fitters and vehicle inspection associations.

For the first time Beissbarth presents his new contact-free wheel alignment concept Touchless 2 at the Automechanika. It provides high-precision results already during drive-through and positioning of the vehicle between the four measuring heads. No measuring plates or electronic components have to be installed onto the tires consequently no setup time is required. Within only seconds, the wheel alignment of the four wheels is carried out simultaneously.

The system consists of high-performance measuring units with fast megapixel stereo cameras. Touchless 2 determines the position of the measuring heads by its own thanks to an innovative reference system. The Measurement is carried out by an innovative infrared laser projector of the protection class 1M enabling to work without safety glasses. In 2013 Beissbarth plans to first install the contact-free wheel alignment at customers' locations.

Fully Automatic Service and Parking Brake Testing
Beissbarth transformed the passenger-car brake test stand BD 640 Connect with the new BNet Superautomatic software and the integrated control unit diagnosis tester KTS 540 into a multifunctional diagnostic station with CASplus. Thanks to the combined performance and function tests, enabled by the passenger-car brake test stand BD 640 Connect, the efficiency and quality of the reception is further improved.

Computer Aided Service CASplus stands for the integration of control unit diagnostics into testing applications. When connected to the vehicle's OBD port, the Bosch diagnostic tester KTS 540 identifies the control unit of the brake system. Afterwards braking effect, wheel speed and system pressure are determined. BNet Superautomatic fully automatically tests the service and parking brake. Rolling resistance measurements with automatic ABS sensor tests and ovality measurements of brake discs are thereby carried out. All wheel drive vehicles are recognized automatically and single-wheel test mode is activated, which reads out the internal system pressure replacing the pedal force sensor. The Bosch workshop software ESI[tronic], which controls the system, ensures a high vehicle coverage and thus direct access to control units, sensors and actuators.

Beissbarth Reception Concept Provides New Impulses for the Workshop Business
With the cross-linked BNET workshop reception concept Beissbarth already offers a high-quality test lane with brake, suspension and light setting tests. Combined with Touchless 2 and BD 640 Connect the reception concept is further enhanced by additional diagnostic options such as a precise quick measurement and function tests concerning the ESP brake system. The graphical output of measurement and test results allows the workshop to inform the customer in a clear and graphic manner and thus to explain further repair and maintenance tasks, if necessary.
