Concomitant with increased application of electronic components in the automotive industry, the complexity of automotive technology has constantly increased throughout the last years. This also bears increasing challenges for workshops. For this reason above all independent workshops benefit from the support provided by the Bosch workshop concepts Bosch Car Service and AutoCrew. As a partner of one of these two full service concepts workshops appear on the market with cross-brand and competent services concerning the car. Therefore they are supported by Bosch providing them recent technical information and training sessions, an effective spare parts logistic service as well as a uniform external image and comprehensive marketing campaigns. Furthermore latest test equipment is part of the standard equipment of any Bosch Car Service or AutoCrew workshop. A comprehensive quality assurance system ensures the high service quality of Bosch workshop partners. An independent service provider carries out both audits about compulsory quality standards and regular unannounced, anonymous workshop tests with test customers.

Bosch Service – one of the largest networks on the independent work-shop market
The workshop network Bosch Service, consisting of the full service concept Bosch Car Service as well as the diesel experts Bosch Diesel Center and Bosch Diesel Service counts over 15,000 locations in 150 countries. Bosch Car Service partners provide car drivers with a high-performance and advantageous alternative to authorized workshops. Besides the classic Bosch topics car electrics, electronics and diesel service the system offer also includes general mechanic repair tasks, check-ups, oil, air conditioning, tire and autoglass service as well as in-car multimedia.

When it comes to searching the proper workshop for choice and assignment of maintenance and repair tasks, the relevance of the internet is constantly increasing. The new internet platform “Bosch Car Service Online” takes account of that. At www.bosch-service.de car drivers can easily agree on an appointment with the partner workshops. For the first time the portal will be presented as a demo version at the Automechanika. Its launch in Germany is planned for the fourth quarter this year, from 2013 onwards it is planned to be launched in other European countries as well.

Also new is the smart phone app “Bosch Car Service Racing”, available for free at the App Store for iPhones and at the Google Play Store for Android. The app includes a Bosch Car Service workshop search function. In addition it provides lots of racing fun under real racing circumstances. Tires, brakes and wiper blades are subject to tremendous wear. A pit stop at the Bosch Car Service restores the top condition of the race vehicle and improves handling and performance.

Expert concepts for diesel customers
Bosch Diesel Centers and Bosch Diesel Services are service providers for independent workshops, authorized workshops, commercial and private customers. They take care of diagnosis, components testing and repair tasks for diesel systems. Thanks to their great expertise and their special workshop equipment Bosch diesel specialists are able to diagnose and repair even the latest systems and components. Furthermore they are the only authorized partners for processing warranty claims concerning Bosch diesel components.

AutoCrew network is enlarged constantly
Since 2009 the workshop concept AutoCrew also belongs to Bosch. As a consequence also these workshops count with direct access to recent technical information and the comprehensive Bosch spare parts and diag-nostics ranges. AutoCrew workshops are usually smaller businesses run by the owner highlighting the AutoCrew brand and focusing their communica-tion on the owner or the master mechanic. In terms of service quality AutoCrew partners are subject to the same high standards as Bosch Car Service workshops. Currently there are about 500 AutoCrew workshops in ten European countries and in South Africa.

Workshop concept “Bosch Commercial Vehicles”
In addition Bosch offers a detailed workshop concept “Bosch Commercial Vehicles” targeting truck workshops. Bosch supports potential partners with professional commercial vehicle diagnostics and workshop equipment, practice-oriented technical training sessions, technical information, hotline and remote diagnosis as well as Bosch commercial vehicle spare parts in original equipment quality. There are no fees for a concept partnership. Participating workshops will additionally receive a corresponding exterior signage with Bosch commercial vehicle technology representing their know-how concerning trucks. The workshop concept “Bosch Com-mercial Vehicle” is being introduced in Europe step by step.

The Automotive Aftermarket division (AA) provides the aftermarket and repair shops worldwide with a complete range of diagnostic and repair shop equipment and a wide range of spare parts – from new and exchange parts to repair solutions – for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
