press release

Munich – Bosch Security System introduces the new AMAX panel 4000 which is offered in two different basic editions: AMAX panel 4000 and AMAX panel 4000 EN, with independent EN 50131-3 grade 2 certification. Each version has two types of language kits, with English, French, Dutch, and Italian forming the first kit – English, German, Polish and Spanish the second. AMAX panels are designed to meet the intrusion requirements of high-end residential homes, as well as small and medium-sized commercial businesses. Both new panel editions are available from 2013.

Easy and flexible security solution
AMAX panels are renowned for being complete intrusion protection systems that are further enhanced by such peripheral devices as detectors and keypads. 16 zones are available on board, which can be expanded to 64 zones and divided into 16 partitions. With the default program already covering 90 percent of all applications, AMAX panels allow a simple and cost-effective installation. Furthermore, the panels are equipped with all the functions an alarm system requires, are intuitive to use and easy to operate via the keypad.

Wireless and wired detectors
A further feature of the new AMAX panel is that it now supports RADION wireless devices, a reliable and proven intrusion technology. Enhanced by a modern electronic design for better manufacturability and robustness, the updated system has an increased range due to improved radio tolerances. Motion detectors, smoke detectors, bill trap, panic buttons, key fobs, universal transmitter and magnetic contacts are all part of the RADION portfolio currently available. Additional repeaters can be installed to expand the distance covered by the system. The programming of the device and diagnostics are performed from any panel keypad or via remote programming software, with support provided in multiple languages.

Alarm transmission
The AMAX 4000 panel has a dual-path signaling solution with completely integrated “Public switched telephone networking” (PSTN) communicator and expansion modules for IP and GSM/GPRS communication. Furthermore, it has advanced remote control (parameter setting) and diagnostic capabilities over PSTN and IP communication paths.
