press release

The GSR 18 V-LI Professional cordless screwdriver in the Bosch “dynamic-series” stands for convenient work. From September onwards, it will be available as a chuckless HX version with universal internal hex bit holder. This is the first time that a higher voltage tool with a universal bit holder will be available in addition to the tried-and-tested GSR 10,8-LI Professional cordless screwdriver. This enables bits to be changed faster, which will especially benefit professionals in vehicle workshops or in the furniture fitting trade who mainly have to drive screws.

Small, lightweight and handy
The GSR 18 V-LI HX Professional cordless screwdriver is lightweight, com-pact and has a long battery runtime. With a head length of only 153 milli-meters including bit lock, it is the shortest cordless screwdriver in its class. It is about 17 percent shorter than the already available GSR 18 V-LI Pro-fessional cordless screwdriver with chuck. Including 3.0 Ah battery, the tool weighs only 1.7 kilograms and sits comfortably in the hand thanks to its slim handle with softgrip covering.

Up to 500 screws can be driven with only one battery charge. This makes the HX version a real “endurance runner”, just like the model with a chuck. 18 torque settings ensure that the right amount of power is used to drive screws flush.

The four-pole high-performance motor with a torque of 67 newton meters ensures fast work progress. Together with the two-speed planetary gear-box, the cordless screwdriver can, for example, easily drive screws up to eight millimeter diameter - in softwood without pre-drilling, in hardwood with pre-drilling. Precise work when driving rows of screws is supported by the integrated motor brake. An LED light makes it easier to work in dark places.

The GSR 18 V-LI HX Professional cordless screwdriver will be available at specialist retail outlets from September 2012 onwards in the following versions:
· In a carton including two 3.0 Ah batteries, 30-minute charger and L-Boxx inlay for 359 euros.
· In a carton with L-Boxx half shell without battery and charger for 179 euros
All prices are excluding VAT.
