press release

Dremel is now replacing its best-selling multitool, the Dremel 300, with a tool that has a better system for mounting accessories: the Dremel 3000 is the first to be equipped with “Easy Twist”, a nose cap with integrated wrench. This enables you to change accessories in only three steps: twist open the nose cap and collet nut, insert the accessory, twist shut the collet nut and nose cap – that's it. The accessory is securely in place and the tool is ready to use. This saves time and eliminates the need for a conventional wrench.

This corded multitool truly lives up to its name, supplied as standard with accessories that make it versatile for applications such as sanding, grinding, polishing, cutting or engraving. With 130 instead of 125 watts, it has more power than its predecessor. The speed can be adjusted from 10,000 to 33,000 revolutions per minute to adapt it to the material you are working on. The low weight of only 550 grams, softgrip coverings on all grip areas and the tool's balanced weight distribution ensure a high level of comfort during use. This makes the Dremel 3000 equally suitable for beginners and experienced users. Replaceable carbon brushes, a spindle lock and a fold-out hanger complete the equipment features.

New “SpeedClic” sanding discs to match the tool
Dremel is launching two new “SpeedClic” accessories at the same time as the Dremel 3000: the SC411 sanding disc with grit of 60 and the SC413 sanding disc with grit of 240. Both are full discs with a sanding diameter of 25 millimeters. They are suitable for both surface sanding and edge sanding. They are used with the SC402 mandrel, which has a unique design enabling the “SpeedClic” accessories to be fitted to it without the need for a wrench. Dremel's range therefore includes a total of 14 “SpeedClic” accessories.

“SpeedClic” sanding discs and the Dremel 3000 are available at retail outlets now. The tool is available in two sets:
· The Dremel 3000-15 set is supplied in a zipper bag and contains the Dremel 3000 and 15 accessories including sanding bands, cut-off wheels and cutting bits. The recommended retail price is 49.99 euros.
· The Dremel 3000-1/25 set is supplied in a carrying case and contains the Dremel 3000, the flexible shaft ? an attachment for precise and detailed working ? and 25 accessories including the “SpeedClic” starter kit. The recommended retail price is 69.99 euros.
