FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Bosch Community Fund recently awarded $86,249 in grants to school districts and organizations in the Owatonna, Minnesota, area. The seven grants fund education programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); manufacturing; and professional development for teachers.
By investing in lab improvements, teacher training, and enhancements in STEM and engineering curricula, the Bosch Community Fund is able to impact the lives of students in the community. Many organizations are impacting the Owatonna community through the advancement of STEM learning opportunities and ensuring quality programs are accessible to local students, said Chuck Miklich, vice president of operations at Bosch Automotive Service Solutions in Owatonna. Bosch is proud to equip these organizations with some of the resources and tools they need to educate youth as they explore their interests and prepare to enter the workforce. The grants support organizations and initiatives that expose students to robotics courses, career preparedness classes and manufacturing workshops, among other engaging programs.

The Bosch Community Fund grant has made this initiative a reality by providing the funds that allow us to bus students around the community, feed them, provide tours and conduct evaluations of the program. This represents an incredible partnership in the Owatonna Community and gives students the opportunity to learn about career options and prepare for their futures.
