Stuttgart – Bosch Smart Home is expanding its portfolio with the new Motion Detector II [+M], which offers an innovative combination of security and convenience. With precise motion detection, integrated orientation light and flexible operation in the Bosch Smart Home system or Matter systems*, the Motion Detector II [+M] combines state-of-the-art technology and minimalist design. Its versatility and ease of installation make it the ideal addition to any smart home.

Reliable technology for the utmost security

With a detection range of up to 13 meters and EN Grade 2 certification, the Motion Detector II [+M] upholds professional security standards. In an emergency, the device – as part of the Bosch Smart Home alarm system – triggers an on-site alarm in the event of unwanted movement, while users receive a push notification on their smartphone to validate the alarm (via a live camera image**). The integrated filter for small animals minimizes false alarms triggered by pets with heights up to 80 cm. In addition, the demolition alarm ensures that tampering attempts are immediately detected and reported.

Orientation light and convenient light control

The integrated orientation light automatically switches itself on when motion is detected and ambient brightness is low, providing increased security and better orientation in dark conditions. The light sensitivity and intensity can be individually adjusted to optimise everyday convenience. Additionally, the orientation light can serve as a subtle status indicator for an activated alarm system – ideal for avoiding false alarms. Furthermore, the Motion Detector II [+M] can activate smart lights when motion is detected and automatically control the lighting depending on the ambient brightness.

Modern design for indoor and outdoor areas

Modern and unobtrusive design enable the Motion Detector II [+M] to blend harmoniously into any home. Its IP55 protection rating certifies that it is also suitable for outdoor use and can withstand adverse weather conditions. Easy installation with screws or the included adhesive, as well as flexible positioning in corners, on walls or freestanding, make installation particularly simple.

Additional functions and automations

The Motion Detector II [+M] is particularly impressive thanks to its clever additional features: Integrated sensors for temperature, vibration and brightness support smart automations or scenarios – for example, for lighting, heating or shading. The flashlight function enables users to activate the orientation light at the touch of a button. Thanks to its compatibility with the Matter standard, the Motion Detector II [+M] can be integrated not only into a Bosch Smart Home system, but also directly into a Matter system.

Availability and price

The new Motion Detector II [+M] is available now for €49.95 including 19% VAT.
