The new Quigo Green from Bosch has a very apt name: Just like its predecessor, the cross line laser works with a green laser diode which is up to four times more visible to the human eye than a red laser diode. In addition, it is the first measuring tool from Bosch whose housing and accessories are made of 90 percent recycled plastic. As early as in product development stage, the focus was to reduce the CO2 footprint from the product and the accessories through to packaging. The new packaging is therefore also made of 70 percent recycled paper, has an environmentally friendly water-based coating, and no longer contains any plastic foils inside. The size of the packaging was also optimized: As small as possible so that the maximum number of tools can be transported simultaneously. In addition, the new Quigo Green consumes 50 percent less energy than its predecessor thanks to optimized electronics ‒ all of which helps to save CO2 and reduce waste. Bosch is systematically working to improve the sustainability of the entire value chain. A special team was created for this purpose. It continuously examines and implements suitable measures throughout the world, for example regarding recycling of packaging and power tools. The main objectives are to reduce the CO2 footprint of products in the long term and to promote a circular economy.

Ready to use straight out of the box, easy and intuitive operation

Of course, the Quigo Green made of recycled plastic still features the proven single-button operation: Once the protective cover is opened, the self-leveling cross line laser is switched on automatically and two laser lines project an exact laser cross on the wall. The new, more intense green diode ensures even better visibility of the laser lines ‒ even in bright environments. With a working range of up to 12 m and a tilt function, the Quigo Green covers a wide range of applications. Positioning pictures or curtain rods correctly, leveling kitchen and bathroom cabinets, decorating walls with tiles or patterned wallpaper ‒ the Quigo Green now provides even more precise results thanks to a higher accuracy of ± 0.6 mm per m. It can easily be attached to tabletops, ladders, shelves, or banisters by means of the MM2 universal clamp. This is made particularly easy by the adapter plate, which also features fine adjustment in a range of ± 2 cm, making it unnecessary to frequently readjust the universal clamp. The adapter plate can be fixed to the top, bottom or rear of the Quigo Green. This allows DIYers to position it directly under the ceiling, for example, to mark a border. The adapter plate can also be attached to standard tripods with a ¼-inch thread. This offers maximum flexibility.

The Quigo Green made of recycled plastic will be available from August onwards. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
