The connected horizon from Bosch is a route forecast system based on dynamic contents. Vehicle and driver receive up-to-date information about speed limits, curve speeds, danger points, and alerts about congestion just ahead. Data are always kept up to date by the connection to a system on the server side. But Bosch takes the concept a further step. By accessing additional vehicle functions (CAN bus), the vehicle is able to respond intelligently and in part autonomously while traveling. For in-stance, it automatically reduces speed when approaching upcoming congestion or autono-mously adjusts the speed during the trip to stay within posted speed limits. The risk of an acci-dent is substantially reduced while the driver enjoys greater comfort and convenience.
