In 1966, Bosch started setting up a new HQ outside of Stuttgart, near the town of Gerlingen as there was not enough space to grow in Stuttgart city. The buildings were completed between 1968 an 69, the first researchers moved there in 1968, and the transfer of all units including board of management was completed in 1970.
