Robert Bosch started with only two people in a rental workshop in 1886. But with the success of the magneto ignition as the only one to make cars reliable for long distances, he could afford setting up a factory in Stuttgart, Germany which was opened in 1901. Bosch had only 45 employees that time but the company grew to more than 1.000 by 1908.
