Since 1999, Bosch has been using the services of retired former associates. Known as senior experts, they work for a limited period on projects or in a consultative capacity. All told, the 1,600 pensioners currently in the expert pool make more than 40,000 years of expertise available for the supplier of technology and services. One of them is Fritz Baumann from Germany. His specialty as a senior expert is power tool motors.
