Grasbrunn, Germany – Effective April 1, 2019, Vera Schneevoigt (53), who until recently was managing director of Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH, will be joining the Bosch Building Technologies division as chief digital officer and senior vice president responsible for engineering. The latter role has so far been filled in an acting capacity by Tanja Rückert, the president of Bosch Building Technologies. “I’m glad to have Vera Schneevoigt on board. She is a very experienced IT manager with proven expertise in digital transformation, the internet of things, and Industry 4.0 – all areas of future importance. She will play a decisive role in advancing our business and its development strategy as we move toward connected solutions that integrate hardware, software, and services,” Tanja Rückert said.

After joining Fujitsu in 2014 as managing director, Schneevoigt’s responsibilities included development, manufacturing, logistics, and purchasing for the product business outside Japan. As such, she also focused on the development and introduction of new technologies against the backdrop of increasing digitalization. She was also the manager of the group’s development and manufacturing location in Augsburg, Germany. Prior to working at Fujitsu, she was the managing director responsible for plants and logistics at Siemens Enterprise Communications, which is now known as Unify. “Bosch is highly innovative, and on its way to becoming a globally leading IoT company. I’m glad to have the opportunity to support the Bosch Building Technologies division as it makes this journey,” Schneevoigt said.

Schneevoigt advises federal and state politicians on the impact of digitalization on the world of work, and places special importance on equal opportunities for women, especially in professions related to digitalization. In 2018, the business platform Edition F named her one of the 25 women revolutionizing the way we think about business.
