Know where your tools are at all times: TrackMyTools is the solution for simple, cloud-based inventory management. Bosch has further improved the system based on user feedback. The result is optimized hardware and software: A new Bluetooth module and a user-friendly operating concept ensure that tools – and now vehicles – can be registered, assigned, managed and located more quickly. Thanks to a new user interface, business owners can now enjoy an even faster overview of their inventory with all equipment. There are also new settings: search, filter, map and calendar functions will allow you to facilitate daily operations at all levels. No more lost tools, no searching and no more lost time – with the intelligent TrackMyTools inventory management system, Bosch increases a business’s productivity.

Optimized hardware: New Bluetooth module

In this further developed version, TrackMyTools offers a new, low-energy Bluetooth module, the GCC 30-4 Professional. One significant advantage of this is the shortened installation time. The module is now labeled with a code, which can easily be scanned with a camera function in the TrackMyTools app to add the module to the system. In order to minimize the interference of external factors on the Bluetooth connection, GCC 30-4 Professional offers a significantly stronger signal compared to the previous model.

Optimized software: Overview thanks to new user interface

TrackMyTools has an improved user interface and can be operated intuitively. Its new design provides an overview of all relevant data, enabling business owners to easily keep an eye on what’s relevant. The lists for tools, vehicles and employees can be managed via the clearly structured menu. In addition to this, business owners also receive a summary of all current information via e-mail.

Increased possibilities for easier control

The redesigned TrackMyTools excels thanks to its significantly increased range of functions. Registering inventory as well as assigning it to vehicles and employees is now especially easy, for example by connecting to the Bosch product database. The Bosch tool information is automatically pre-filled allowing the users to save time during this process. In addition, TrackMyTools now allows Excel files as well as other documents with inventory information to be uploaded. This is specifically useful when storing digital invoices, maintenance and warranty documents. TrackMyTools now also improves the process of assigning multiple tools to vehicles or employees. Status and assignment tasks can be managed with ease using the new search and filter options available. The visually improved map view enhances the task of locating tools. In addition to this TrackMyTools now includes a calendar function with individual reminders for upcoming events. The app also triggers a reminder and an audio signal if an assigned tool has been left behind and not loaded into the correct vehicle.

New authorization and role concept including access for service providers

TrackMyTools offers a further developed authorization and role concept. Business owners can now determine the different visible areas to users within the application. These areas are only visible to the users who have been assigned to one of the following roles: Owner, inventory manager, foreman and craftsman. Third party users can be invited into TrackMyTools via the additional “Tool service” role to exclusively view and manage the tool inventory. After these users have logged into their account, settings such as privacy can be set individually.

The new TrackMyTools is available in specialist retail outlets and online at Depending on the requirements and size of the business, different service packages are available, which can be canceled on a monthly basis. These are the recommended retail prices excluding VAT.

To get started, Bosch offers the “Free” service package, which allows professionals to use TrackMyTools free of charge for an unlimited period. The package allows the user to register up to 15 modules, and is suitable if there is no need to manage attachments, events and activities. Subject to change.
