Bosch’s new UniversalGardenTidy allows users to clear leaves from paths, flowerbeds or lawns thoroughly, quickly and quieter. Compared to its predecessor, the guaranteed sound power level of this leaf blower/garden vacuum has been reduced by 75 percent when in vacuum mode. Compared to the best-in-class competitor model it is reduced by 20 percent. This is what Bosch calls ProSilence: It makes the UniversalGardenTidy kinder to your ears and your neighbors’. The new leaf blower/garden vacuum also features a robust metal fan. This reduces wear, extends the tool’s life and ensures efficient results. Even cleaning is more straightforward: If the fan becomes clogged, for example with wet leaves, the user can detach the vacuum tube and easily remove the blockage due to the large space around the fan.

Variable speed adjustment, easy switch between blowing and vacuuming

The UniversalGardenTidy’s fully variable speed adjustment affords greater flexibility when clearing and collecting leaves as the speed range has now been extended to over 100 km/h difference from min to max, starting at a low speed of 165 km/h to provide optimum control where needed such as on loose ground. Whether you want to remove wet leaves from your driveway or collect dry leaves from your lawn, you can set a speed to suit the task at hand. In leaf-blower mode, the tool generates an air speed of up to 285 kilometers per hour. With just a few swift motions, it is significantly easier to convert the UniversalGardenTidy from leaf blower to garden vacuum than the previous model: Simply push the button on the top to release the blowing tube and unscrew the fan cover, then screw the vacuum tube in place and click the vacuum bag into the main housing – you are now good to go! In vacuum mode, the tool has a suction power of 160 liters per second. The integrated metal fan shreds the material to a twelfth of its original volume.

New design and optimized controls for greater comfort and convenience

The UniversalGardenTidy’s optimized design and simplified operation makes garden clearing more comfortable for its users. If the garden vacuum’s redesigned 45-liter collection bag becomes full, all you need to do is press a button to release it from the suction tube and you can then detach it. Afterwards, you just empty the leaves out through the zipper. The UniversalGardenTidy’s zip extends along the entire length of the collection bag and can be unzipped single handedly without difficulty. The collection bag is designed to keep a user cleaner and drier while they complete the task by deflecting moisture and dust, which is created in use, down to the ground and not out of the bag towards the user. Additional bonus: The adjustable second handle and padded shoulder strap offer added comfort and convenience, allowing users to continue working for longer without tiring. The leaf blower itself weighs just 3.4 kilograms; with the suction tube and collection bag fitted, it weighs 4.7 kilograms. Compact and lightweight, the UniversalGardenTidy is easy to maneuver.
