Karlsruhe / Plochingen – As the spring temperatures start to rise, the air-conditioning service season starts for automotive workshops. When performing A/C services, Bosch also recommends replacing the cabin filter. With its broad range of fully automatic A/C service units, Robinair provides a unit for professional and resource-efficient air-conditioning service befitting each and every workshop requirement. Featuring some 600 part numbers, the Bosch range also includes suitable cabin filters for almost any vehicle type in Europe and for any requirement.

Robinair A/C service units for all workshop requirements

Both the Robinair premium A/C service units – types AC1234-8i and AC1x34-7i – and the standard units AC1234-5i and AC1x34-5i stand out for their simplified operation and fully automatic procedures. At the same time, they comply with the specifications of the vehicle manufacturers. The “AC Connect” app allows workshop staff to proceed with other tasks during the A/C service routine. The app-based control informs the staff as soon as new steps are to be taken at the A/C service unit. Within short time, these units recover up to 99 percent of the refrigerant in case of air conditioning systems running on R134a and R1234yf refrigerants. This protects the environment and saves ready cash. In addition, these A/C service units can also be used for the diagnosis of issues concerning the air conditioning performance. Regular system checks at the A/C service prevent technical issues. Furthermore, the new design of Robinair A/C service units is particularly maintenance-friendly and provides easy and efficient access to inner components of the units.

FILTER+ filters allergens, bacteria, smells and fine dust

Bosch recommends to change cabin filters every 15 000 km or once a year. After all, a new cabin filter significantly improves the air quality inside the cabin while protecting the occupants against fine dust and pollen. Bosch FILTER+ is a cabin filter with a particularly high performance and a special anti-allergy layer rendering allergens harmless and eliminating bacteria. An activated-carbon layer neutralizes harmful and foul-smelling gases. And finally, an ultra-thin microfiber layer separates up to 99 percent of all particles with a diameter of up to 2.5 micrometers – so-called fine dust. Bosch is currently expanding its FILTER+ range by some 20 percent allowing to equip some 190 million vehicles in Europe with this filter. By means of its FILTER+, Bosch provides – especially health-conscious – car drivers with a high-performance cabin filter proving its worth most noticeably at the pollen season. The replacement of cabin filters makes particularly much sense after performing an A/C service. It allows customers to feel the positive effects of professional servicing most eminently.

Ready for the future with Robinair A/C service units

Concomitantly with the growing number of electric vehicles on the market, professional A/C service is also of increasing importance for the workshops. After all, the A/C system plays a key role for the thermal management of electric drives. Besides ensuring pleasant temperatures inside the cabin, it also cools the batteries in order to maintain their optimum operating temperature. During the charging process and in case of fast charging, the air conditioning system cools the batteries which would otherwise heat up when charged. In this manner, the A/C system contributes to a long battery service life and supports effective charging procedures. With their innovative oil-bottle system preventing the mixture of different oils, the new Robinair A/C service units are also suitable for tasks related to the air conditioning systems of hybrid and electric vehicles.
