Greater productivity in day-to-day work: Bosch is expanding its Connectivity system for pros

Connectivity provides better performance and results

  • Optimized management, tool control, as well as care and maintenance
  • Transparency for users, from inventory management to the product
  • Range expanded by connectable FlexiClick screwdriver and laser measure

Bosch has created its connected power tools and services to make day-to-day work for professional tradespeople easier and increase their productivity. The range covers everything from organizing and managing a business to using, servicing and maintaining tools. Business owners, for example, can now keep an even closer eye on their stock levels thanks to the further developed TrackMyTools inventory management system. Meanwhile tradespeople who work with a connected Bosch power tool can custom configure this tool and save their preferred settings − such as the soft start function on the GWS 18V-125 SC Professional cordless angle grinder – for future jobs. With some tools, such as the GLI 18V-1900 C Professional worklight and the GCL 2-50 C Professional and GCL 2-50 CG Professional combi lasers, the app also acts as a remote control, saving tradespeople effort and time. It also helps to minimize measuring errors, as laser lines that have already been aligned are not accidentally altered by handling. The fact that users receive tool status information on their smartphone − one example is the Cal Guard Function on the GLL 3-80 C Professional and GLL 3-80 CG Professional line lasers – makes servicing and maintenance easier too. The app even enables repair orders to be sent faster, at any time and from anywhere. Connected power tools and services from Bosch offer added value to the user.

Connectivity ensures even more efficiency: FlexiClick and laser measures
The range already includes more than 15 connected power tools, including laser measures, combi lasers and line lasers, thermal imager, cordless angle grinders, screwdrivers and worklights. From May onwards, Bosch will also be offering the proven FlexiClick system in a connectable variant with the GSR 18V-60 FC Professional: Functions such as the integrated “KickBack Control” for high-level user protection, or the precision coupling, which prevents over-tightening when fastening screws, resulting in reduced wear-and-tear, can be custom configured using the app.

From May, Bosch will be offering another connected laser measure with the GLM 120 C Professional. It will be the first Bosch laser measure to have a camera, ensuring even greater precision in bright environments and over long distances. Measurements can be transferred directly to the app, for example to be shared with colleagues in order to calculate materials. The app also acts as a remote control, allowing measurements to be taken without blurring and without requiring any assistance from colleagues.
