eBiking is the No. 1 hot topic

Bosch eBike Systems presents new solutions and smart technological enhancements

Stuttgart/Reutlingen – With eBiking the No. 1 hot topic in the bicycle industry, exciting pedelec solutions will be on show at the Eurobike trade fair in Friedrichshafen from 31 August to 4 September 2016. Bosch eBike Systems is presenting a number of technological enhancements and product innovations to ensure even greater comfort and cycling pleasure. The world market leader for premium-segment eBike systems is exhibiting its new products for the 2017 model year at the Bosch stand, No. 202 in Hall A6.

New Purion on-board computer

The Purion display is an optimal 2-in-1 solution, a display and remote control at the same time. It is easy to operate by thumb on the handlebar. With its compact design it shows speed, distance covered and total mileage and is available with the Active Line and Performance Line eBike systems. A diagnostic tool can also read these figures via a micro-USB connection.

DualBattery for even greater ranges

The combination of two Bosch PowerPacks linked by a Y-cable connector packs up to 1,000 watt-hours. The DualBattery system consists of two frame-mounted batteries or one frame- and the other rack-mounted, both built in directly by the manufacturer. When charging and discharging, the system switches smartly between the two. DualBattery is suitable for long distances, steep ascents or heavy cargoes.

Pocket-sized eBike charger

The Compact Charger weighs a mere 600 grams or so and takes up about 40% less space than the Standard Charger. With a charging current of two amperes it recharges Bosch PowerPacks on longer tours. It works on all mains voltages (110 to 230 volts) and can thus be used both in Europe and in the USA, Canada and Australia. The new charger is compatible with all Bosch eBike product lines.

Nyon updates, two-stage push assistance and more powerful lighting

The Nyon on-board computer now also shows topographic residual distances and the portal can export GPX files. The new dashboard provides information about the synchronisation status and the previous month’s activities. For the Performance Line CX there is also the SRAM EX1, the first drivetrain specially developed for eMTBs. Further improvements are the two-stage push assistance function and more powerful, 18-watt lighting.
