The Bosch Rotak lawnmowers are getting even better: The new generation tools are the quietest high-performance lawnmowers on the market, all thanks to Bosch ProSilence technology. From the lawnmower housing to its motor and blades, all components have been optimized in view of the user’s needs and the desire for reduced volume with high power. That made it possible to reduce the guaranteed sound power level in the case of the new AdvancedRotak 750 from 95 to 89 decibels. That is 75 percent less − so the lawnmower is significantly quieter and its mowing sound more pleasant. First of all, there are four corded models with Bosch ProSilence: The UniversalRotak 450 and UniversalRotak 550 with 1 300 and 1 400 watts and the AdvancedRotak 650 and AdvancedRotak 750 with 1 700 and 1 800 watts. In each case, the figure in the new product name represents the recommended lawn area. Cordless models will follow next season.

Stress-free mowing with the UniversalRotak and the AdvancedRotak

To send a visual signal as well, the Rotak series features a new design: All the lawnmowers have textured high-quality surfaces, are dark green and have grille elements with sealed foils, which are also used, for example, on designer fittings for premium vehicles. The UniversalRotak’s tried and tested Ergoflex system provides comfortable and effortless use: The multi-position handle features ergonomically shaped grip zones with softgrip surfaces. It fits perfectly in the hand and offers great flexibility. Be it one-handed or two, left-handed or right, horizontally or vertically – the lawnmower can be controlled from a total of eight different positions. With its new Ergoslide system, the AdvancedRotak offers the same benefits plus a telescopic handle, the height of which is exceptionally easy to adjust and which is foldable. That means that the lawnmower is even easier to store. An additional feature of the AdvancedRotak is its rubber overmoulded wheels, which preserve the lawn.

Convenient features: From the grass box to the blades

The foldable grass box, which can be fitted in a matter of seconds, and an extremely easy-to-use cutting-height adjustment are also new. Instead of a gear lever on the side, you simply press the red button next to the readily accessible handle on the lawnmower. If you then pull the handle, the cutting height automatically locks into place – easily and conveniently. The blades feature LeafCollect, a specifically developed side profile which can shred leaves lying on the lawn. The air flow then transfers them into the box just as it does with grass cuttings. Even the lawnmowers’ grass combs were redesigned with increased comfort in mind. They now allow for a cut which is even closer to the ground and saves rework.

The UniversalRotak and AdvancedRotak lawnmowers will be available from spring 2018 onwards. Accessories such as blades are available from the Bosch accessory range. The prices listed are recommended retail prices including VAT. Subject to change.
