In 2016, the company increased its research and development spending to 6.6 billion euros. Last year, headcount at the 120 R&D locations worldwide grew by 3,700 associates. The international research network of the Bosch corporate sector for research and advance engineering covers 11 locations in 7 countries. In total, 59,000 associates work for Bosch globally in research and development.
