Dr. Stefan Hartung

Dr. Stefan Hartung has been a member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH since January 2013. In this function, he is responsible for the Energy and Building Technology business sector, with its Security Systems, Thermotechnology, and Global Services Solutions divisions, as well as for the Robert Bosch Smart Home GmbH subsidiary. He also exercises responsibility for the Industrial Technology business sector, which includes the Packaging Technology and Drive and Control Technology divisions. Furthermore, he is responsible for manufacturing coordination.

Born in Dortmund in 1966, Stefan Hartung is married and has two children. He studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen, specializing in manufacturing technology. In 1993, he completed his PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in quality management methods.

In 2004, he joined Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH in Munich. Before that, he worked for the Fraunhofer Society and the management consultants McKinsey & Company, Inc. in Düsseldorf.
