Leinfelden – Production record at Bosch Power Tools: Around 50 million power tools will be made in 2015. That's more than ever before – and almost twice as many as ten years ago. ”Our products meet the requirements of the most diverse users: We target DIY enthusiasts and professionals, in industrial and developing markets,” says Henning von Boxberg, President of the Bosch Power Tools division. “Knowing our customers' requirements is one of the factors guaranteeing our success, the increasing production figures are proof that we are on the right path and that our tools are being well received by users.”

The Ixo remains the world's favorite power tool, and the fifth generation is now available. Since its market introduction in 2003, on average over one million of these cordless screwdrivers have come off the production line each year. Meanwhile, an Ixo is produced every 21 seconds at the Hungarian plant in Miskolc.

Bosch Power Tools are made and sold worldwide – as well as in Germany, also in other European countries, in Asia, North and South America. Since this year, the worldwide production network has also included a factory in Chennai, India, where around 200 employees make power tools that meet the requirements of the Indian market and users.
