Simply staple more: the PTK 3,6 LI in the new Office Set from Bosch is the first cordless tacker that can also staple paper. Bosch is therefore now offering do-it-yourselfers a versatile tool for use in the office, household or hobby. The PTK 3,6 LI Office Set includes two accessories which are designed for stapling paper or binding brochures. This handy tool also completes classical tacker applications such as fastening thin materials onto wood, upholstering furniture or attaching decorations for different occasions, making the PTK 3,6 LI the most versatile tacker on the market.

One cordless tacker – many projects
The PTK 3,6 LI is quickly ready to use as a paper stapler: the corresponding accessory is simply clicked onto the tool and then you can join together up to 60 pages of paper. The cordless tacker can be conveniently parked on the paper stapler accessory when not in use. It also protects delicate surfaces such as glass plates or wood veneers due to is rubber feet. The brochure stapler is designed for binding brochures, photobooks, invitations or menus consisting of up to 30 pages. It is suitable for formats of up to DIN A4 and is ready to use in only a few moves: the two individual parts are simply plugged together to form a rail. You can then insert the paper you want to bind. Following this, the two wings of the rail are folded together over the paper and closed. Two windows and two marks on the edge of the wings ensure exact positioning of the subsequent binding point. In order to achieve the desired result, these should be precisely on the center line of the pages you want to bind. When aligned, you can start stapling: the tacker nose of the PTK 3,6 LI fits precisely in the windows on the rail. Drive one staple per window – and the brochure is bound.

Standard type 53 fine wire staples are used for stapling. They are 11.4 millimeters wide and available in four different lengths: four, six, eight or ten millimeter long, depending on how many pages you want to staple.

The PTK 3,6 LI: small, handy and always ready to use
This handy tacker is only about 15 x 16 x 5 centimeters in size, weighs just less than 800 grams and you can take it anywhere with you. Its lithium-ion battery has hardly any self-discharge and is therefore ready to use at all times – even when not used for a lengthy period of time between individual applications. The battery also has no memory effect, so it can be recharged at any time without the user having to accept a deterioration in battery performance. When the battery is fully charged, it has enough power to drive at least 400 staples into softwood. The charging state of the battery is indicated by LED. The features of the PTK 3,6 LI are completed by softgrip coverings which make the cordless tacker sit securely and comfortably in the hand, and a reload indicator which shows do-it-yourselfers at all times how full the staple magazine is.

The PTK 3,6 LI Office Set will be available at retail outlets from April 2014 onwards for 79.99 euros including VAT. It comes complete with the two accessories, plus a five-hour charger including charging plug and 1 000 type 53 fine wire staples per length of six, eight and ten millimeters. Both accessories can also be purchased separately: the paper stapler for 9.99 euros, the brochure stapler for 12.99 euros. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
