The three leading automotive and commercial vehicle suppliers, Bosch, Knorr-Bremse and ZF, have launched the Alltrucks GmbH & Co. KG joint venture in Munich, Germany. The joint venture will operate as system center providing a new workshop franchise for commercial vehicle workshops. The relevant antitrust authorities approved the joint venture before it was launched. Alltrucks GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Munich, will initially employ some 10 associates. Commercial vehicle workshops in Germany will be able to join the franchise system this year; to register their interest, they should send an email to The companies are planning a gradual rollout of the franchise in other countries — first in Austria, Switzerland, Poland and Italy, followed by the whole of Europe as a medium-term goal.

Comprehensive Services for commercial vehicle workshops
Alltrucks GmbH & Co. KG provides workshops joining the scheme with a full range of services for the cross-vehicle brand maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles, including a technical hotline, technical training, information and quality management, as well as diagnostic systems and workshop equipment. The joint venture offers bundled services and pooled expertise of the three joint venture partners, Robert Bosch GmbH (Automotive Aftermarket division), Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH and ZF Friedrichshafen AG (ZF Services business unit).

The managing director of Alltrucks GmbH & Co. KG is Rolf Hosefelder. The 46-year-old director has previously worked in a number of management positions in the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket division and brings with him a wide range of experience, including over ten years in the field of workshop franchises. "Through the Alltrucks workshop franchise, we will support our system partners to achieve an even better position on the market and provide their commercial vehicle customers with a high-quality and flexible service. Thanks to the three partners, Bosch, Knorr-Bremse and ZF, the focus is clearly on technical competence across multiple brands, and our workshop partners throughout Europe will benefit from this structure," Hosefelder affirms. The management team of the joint venture also includes the finance and administration director Homer Smyrliadis (51), who previously worked at ZF Services, and sales director Nils Hollmann (31), previously at Knorr-Bremse.
