In cooperation with retailers, Bosch is now offering the 36-month full service for professional tradespeople who are looking for maximum cost certainty, who want to be able to carry on working when their power tool breaks down, and who want to have everything processed quickly and easily. The service includes the following benefits during the service period when selected professional power tools from Bosch are purchased:

  • free repair and maintenance of defective tools including wear parts and batteries, except for wear resulting from excessive strain in continuous use – known as “Power Using”.
  • pick-up of defective tools at any fixed delivery address in Germany while simultaneously delivering a replacement tool,
  • return of the repaired tool while simultaneously taking back the replacement tool, and
  • once yearly calibration and function check of purchased measuring tools.
Full service on broad product range – without leasing
The 36-month full service applies to about 60 selected professional tools from Bosch's core product ranges – from cordless screwdrivers in the 10.8, 14.4 and 18 volt classes, rotary and demolition hammers, angle grinders and saws, through to measuring tools such as laser rangefinders. All of the tools have fixed service lump sums allocated to them, which the professional tradesperson pays when purchasing the desired tool, and in doing so books the 36-month full service via the retailer and receives the corresponding service card.
The recommended retail price of the service lump sum is between 25 and 75 euros plus VAT, depending on the particular tool.

There is no minimum contract volume, nor is this a leasing program. Sven Bobe, Sales Director for Specialist Retail at the Bosch Power Tools Division is convinced that: “we are therefore also able to provide smaller and medium-sized skilled worker companies with an attractive, economical service offer”. A further advantage of the concept is the quick and easy processing in the event of service: “a call to the free hotline or an e-mail to the corresponding service address is all it takes, and we will quickly and unbureaucratically take care of delivery of a replacement tool and the repair – without any red tape”, says Bobe. All the professional tradesperson has to state is his contact details and the ten-digit part number and nine-digit serial number of the tool. He will then receive his replacement tool within a day – for example directly to the jobsite – to ensure that he can quickly get back to work. The tradesperson will get his tool back immediately after repair – normally after maximum five working days. A calibration and a function check per year are also included for measuring tools. “All modules interact seamlessly, and with our concept we cover a very broad product range including measuring tools”, summarizes Sven Bobe. “We can therefore offer professional tradespeople a package that delivers precisely what it claims to: 36 months full service.”
