press release

Munich – With an enhanced version of the highly popular Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series, Bosch Security Systems enables an even wider-ranging interfacing of a larger number of control units and loops, as well as further enhanced user friendliness. The product is fully compliant with the EN54 standard and is now available.

Ranging further
Using IP networking and communication via fibre optic cables, the enhanced generation enables a straightforward implementation and connection of fire panels in extensive areas and beyond property lines. The combination of Ethernet and CAN networking allows the greatest level of flexibility for all kinds of applications as well as the connection of even more panels in one network structure. Furthermore, the usage of Fibre Optics helps to cover large distances without noise interference. Particularly for large company set-ups with a number of different compounds sites or for complex systems like airports or railway stations, this will be a major advantage. Ethernet and Fibre options are playing more and more an important role for transmission technologies in modern and future buildings. The enhanced generation of the Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series enables the customer to use this technology efficiency.

Upmost user-friendliness
Thanks to IP technology based on Ethernet networking, configuration files as well as firmware updates can be quickly and easily downloaded. The fire panel’s modules as well as the connected devices allow faster and more effective installation and testing.

The product can be conveniently operated from a new colored fire panel touch screen, providing intuitive control and communication with all panels in the system. The remote keypad offers extensive control functions on single panels or the complete network to which it is connected via the CAN-BUS or the new Ethernet connection. The keypad is available in surface- or flush-mounted versions and can also be integrated in operators’ desks.
