press release

The new PST 650 is the entry level model among Bosch’s jigsaws for do-it-yourselfers. It completes the three classes of Compact jigsaws that are geared towards the needs of users: “Easy”, “Universal” and “Expert”. The “Easy” model PST 650 is about 20 percent smaller and 300 grams lighter than the predecessor tool, and it is especially handy. The PST 650 is mainly used for simple sawing applications in wood, metal or aluminum. This easy-to-handle tool is designed for high precision cuts. The integrated dust blowing function, which can be switched on and off individually, removes sawing chips quickly and reliably and provides an uninterrupted clear view of the cutting line. An enlarged base plate also makes the jigsaw easier to control. The PST 650 is extremely precise thanks to these functions and thanks to the mass balance that reduces vibration resulting from the linear movements of the saw blade to a minimum.

Easy handling and tool-free saw blade changes
Woodworking is one of the PST 650’s main application ranges. In wood it enables cutting depths of up to 65 millimeters. The maximum cutting depth in materials such as aluminum or metal is ten and four millimeters respectively. A 500 watt motor delivers the required power. Changing saw blades is exceptionally easy thanks to the SDS blade change system: the current saw blade is ejected by simply pressing a button and the new blade is inserted without the need for additional tools.

Compared to competitors’ entry level models, the PST 650 jigsaw is one of the handiest and most convenient models on the market, making it a perfect addition to the Compact Generation of Bosch’s jigsaw range. Do-it-yourselfers benefit from the numerous advantages of the Compact Design. These include compact dimensions, low weight and good handling due to the ergonomic shape and softgrip surfaces.

The PST 650 jigsaw is available now at retail outlets at the recommended price of 49.99 euros including VAT. It is supplied in a robust plastic case with three woodworking saw blades. An adapter for the integrated vacuum cleaner connection can be purchased as an optional accessory.
