press release

Skil is launching the model 2532 onto the market – a cordless combi drill for demanding drilling, impact drilling and screwdriving applications. This tool is both compact and powerful, weighing only 1.4 kilograms including 18 volt lithium-ion battery, which makes it the lightest tool in its class. This is especially advantageous when do-it-yourselfers have to work overhead for extended periods of time, for example when fitting ceiling profiles.

Versatile tool with two-speed gearbox and impact mechanism
This cordless combi drill is comfortably operated with two fingers using the accelerator switch. It has a two-speed gearbox that offers high power for screwdriving in first gear and high speed for drilling with and without impact in second gear. The tool covers virtually every screw size and application with its 19 torque settings. The maximum torque is 40 newton meters. You select the drill setting to drill in wood or metal, and the impact drill setting to drill in masonry. The maximum drilling diameters are 35 millimeters in wood, ten millimeters in steel and 15 millimeters in masonry. Each accessory is quickly and easily changed thanks to the keyless chuck with Auto-Lock.

Always ready for use
The tool is powered by an 18 volt lithium-ion battery, which has no memory effect and hardly any self-discharge. As a result, the 2532 cordless combi drill is ready to use even after lengthy breaks and can be recharged at any time without any loss of performance. The battery and the tool are ready to use again after no more than one hour thanks to the quick charger. The “Electronic Cell Protection”, ECP for short, ensures long battery life. It reliably protects the battery against overload, overheating and deep discharge. The tool's features are completed by an LED “Spotlight” that is positioned on the foot of the tool and clearly illuminates the work surfaces, and softgrip in the grip area.

The Skil 2532 cordless combi drill is available in two versions:
· in a carton with battery, quick charger and a double-ended screwdriver bit at the recommended retail price of 119.99 euros,
· in a carton with the same scope of delivery plus an additional battery for 159.99 euros.
All prices are including VAT.
