| · Alternative sources for spare parts that are no longer available
· Old spare parts can be found without extensive searching
· Range available in the Bosch Classic Parts Supplies shop tripled
The Bosch Esitronic workshop software offers up-to-date information on diagnostics, troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance and is used in over 60,000 workshops worldwide. Now, the Esitronic functionality has been extended to both the retro and classic sectors. Until now, if a workshop search was made for a spare part for an older car via Esitronic, the Bosch workshop software would often return the result "no longer available" because the spare part in question is no longer manufactured and the wholesaler no longer has it in stock. For both the retro and classic sectors, however, the spare parts being sought are often to be found in the specialist Bosch Classic Parts Supply shop that was set up by Bosch Automotive Tradition. A link between the offer in the Ebay shop and the Esitronic workshop software means that the workshops can now access the required spare parts quickly and easily. It is mainly products that are more than 20 years old that are linked from Bosch Esitronic to the Bosch Classic Parts Supplies.
If the part is on offer in the Bosch Classic Parts Supplies shop, then it is highlighted with the note "CSA: Classic Shop Also." A single mouse click takes the user via an Internet link to the Bosch Automotive Tradition home page (www.automotive-tradition.de) and from there to the Ebay shop; here the user can purchase the required part. Using this alternative source of supply, even the older spare parts are easy to obtain without extensive searching, enabling workshops to provide timely and expert assistance to customers.
Bosch Classic Parts Supplies Ebay shop on course for continued growth
Bosch Automotive Tradition set up the Bosch Classic Parts Supplies shop on Ebay at the end of 2007. In 2008, the shop had already recorded around 80,000 visits and this total doubled last year. At the same time, the range was extended threefold. There are currently 2700 products available in 18 shop categories. Furthermore, the ranks of industry partners were increased in 2009, broadening the product range to include high-value products from the vehicle-maintenance, lubricants and tires categories. The shop is not just accessible from a German platform; it also has British, French and Spanish platforms.
