Bosch Expands Presence in Dairy Industry
Strategic Collaboration with Osgood Industries

· Bosch contracted Osgood as a sales representative for its aseptic processing equipment for food applications

· Focus on Bosch’s TFA line of aseptic thermoform-fill-seal machines

Bosch Packaging Technology announces a strategic collaboration with Osgood Industries (Oldsmar, Florida) to expand its presence in the American dairy and food markets. Bosch, a global leader in food, confectionery, and pharmaceutical packaging and processing machinery, has contracted Osgood to serve as a sales representative for its line of aseptic processing equipment for food applications.

Osgood, a packaging machinery manufacturer, will represent Bosch in the dairy industry, an area where it has special expertise and experience, with the potential to expand into other segments of the food market. The two firms have complementary product portfolios. Bosch’s expertise in sterile filling and Osgood’s background in clean filling of dairy products enforces the market presence of both companies. The cooperation is also designed to create synergies across the two organizations that increase the efficiency of marketing and sales efforts.

Osgood’s focus will be on Bosch’s TFA line of aseptic thermoform-fill-seal machines. Typical products processed and packaged by the line include pudding, coffee creamers, and other dairy products. The machinery is also suited for products such as baby food, liquids, and viscous foods. The aseptic nature of the packaging and processing environment extends product shelf life, ensures high levels of safety and security, and thus enables food manufacturers to enhance brand identity among consumers.

Packaging equipment that is durable, reliable, and sanitary allows food producers to meet the demand for consumer product innovations. And with a constantly changing market landscape, producers must increasingly rely on flexible, dynamic machinery to rapidly respond to emerging trends. The collaboration with Osgood broadens food manufacturers’ access to this increasingly indispensable packaging technology.

“This partnership is an ideal fit,” says Tom McDaniel, President of Bosch Pharma USA. “Osgood’s proven expertise in the dairy market will allow Bosch to expand the presence in that area. With this product offering and the flexible nature of the equipment, we anticipate expansion into adjacent market segments as well.”
