· The PMF 180 E Multi set contains a delta sander attachment with six sanding sheets as well as a segment saw blade and scaled plunge saw blade
The PMF 180 E Multi from Bosch is a multifunctional power tool. It performs thousands of minor tasks for the DIY-enthusiast that until now had to be completed using hand tools: sawing, sanding or cutting – everything is effortless and fast. Special plunge saw cuts on work surfaces for the kitchen, flush cutting of copper pipes and protruding nails or screws, or cutting tiles to size are no problem for the power tool. There are suitable accessories for each task. The PMF 180 E Multi set contains a delta sander attachment with six sanding sheets as well as a segment saw blade and a plunge saw blade with an embossed depth scale (0 to 3.5 centimeters).
With the delta sander attachment, the PMF 180 E Multi carries out sanding work on smaller surfaces or in corners. The triangular sanding plate with lightly rounded edges enables clean sanding, even at edges and rebates. Convenience is provided by the Velcro-type fastening for the rapid exchange of sanding sheets. The segment saw blade, bent at right angles, is suitable for cuts – also close to edges – in wood, plastic, plaster, and metals. It even saws through the hardest materials such as metal strips or curtain rails without risk. The scaled plunge saw blade is available for plunge cuts up to 35 millimeters in depth.
The technical secret that ensures the versatility of the ideal renovation assistant PMF 180 E Multi is its oscillation principle: the accessories do not have a circular motion, but rather oscillate at an angle of ±1.4 degrees. The user has a secure grip on the tool at all times. The accelerator switch matches the working speed to the material being worked on. The 180-watt motor provides high power for all applications. The attachments for each application are quick to fit: undo the universal screw, replace the attachment, and retighten the universal screw.
The ergonomic handle with softgrip covering ensures a good grip and control of the PMF 180 E Multi. This is particularly an advantage when work is required in hard-to-reach areas or overhead. Those who wish to keep the working environment clean simply connect their dry, wet, or industrial vacuum cleaner to the tool.
In addition to the PMF 180 E Multi set, Bosch offers other useful special accessories, for example a fluted segment saw blade for cutting joints as well as four mini plunge saw blades for wood and metal. This means users can acquire their all-rounder equipment according to their own requirements.
The PMF 180 E Multi set will be available at retail outlets from July 2007 onwards. The recommended retail price including carrying case and accessories is 99.99 euros, including VAT.
